Bloom is known for owning, planning, designing and obtaining all required zonings and permits for his 1400-acre Sports World development in San Diego, California.

His development company handled design, permitting, construction, marketing and sales for the award-winning Casablanca residential development of 200 single family detached residential units in San Diego, California. In addition Bloom designed, permitted, constructed, marketed and sold 150 single family detached residential units at the Lake La Quinta waterfront residential development in the Palm Springs area of California.

From his love of hockey, and from being the owner of a professional hockey team, Bloom owned and operated two (2) large ice arenas, in the San Diego area, which were both large enough for professional hockey gameplay.  (He also had a couple of live penguins which were a hit with the kids)
